To install the Tattu 12S battery pack, simply retract both plungers and twist counter-clockwise. Place the battery pack into the rack, and twist the plungers clockwise and press inward until the plungers are fully seated to secure the dovetail for each side.
For charging and discharging, the Tattu 3000 and Tattu 3200 chargers make this process incredibly simple. Simply connect both the AS150U charging cables and Molex balance cables to the charger, and then connect each battery to the charger. To charge select “Charge” mode by using the lower button, and hold the right button to “Start”. For storing batteries, select “Storage” mode by using the lower button, and hold the right button to “Start”. Charging at a rate of 16A is recommended at all times to prevent overcharging.
Important: 220VAC should be used any time two batteries are being charged simultaneously, failure to do so can result in damage to the charger and/or batteries.
To install the MaxAmp 6S backup batteries, secure both batteries to the two saddles with velcro straps mounted on the underside of the frame.
For charging and discharging, the U3–EV-PEAK simply requires connecting the battery and its balance leads, and selecting either the “Charge” or “Storage” button on the front panel.
Two configurations of the H6 Hybrid are equipped with a power conversion system that converts fuel into electrical charge allowing for extended mission times. This section will cover the procedures necessary to ensure your system operates as intended.
Waring: Please use extreme caution when refilling any fuel reservoir on your aircraft. Never fuel your aircraft while it is powered on. Removal of any batteries while fueling is recommended. Fuel spillage, or gas leaks could result in a fire, or explosion, leading to serious injury or death.
H6 EFI:
H6 Hydrone:
Warning: Fueling the H6 Hydrone requires proper training and is not referenced in this document. Do not attempt to refuel your hydrogen tank without proper training or while it is powered.
Reference: Fueling instructions are referenced in a document titled, “Refilling Hydrogen Tanks – Version 1.01”. Please contact support@harrisaerial for this procedure.
The H6HL platform is made to accommodate a total of eight batteries to allow for extended flight times while providing the largest payload capabilities out of all the HA platforms. H6HL’s have a recessed bay on top of the frame that allows for a total of four 6S battery packs to be quickly swapped in the field using a specially designed aluminum box for securing each battery and its balanced leads. Additionally, the H6HL has four aluminum trays mounted underneath the frame that allow for four additional 6S battery packs. These trays are easily removable by disengaging a lever allowing each tray to slide out with ease.
To install the 6S battery box, simply retract both plungers and twist counter-clockwise. Place the battery box into the recessed bay, and twist the plungers clockwise and press inward until the plungers are fully seated to secure the dovetail for each side.
For charging and discharging, the EV-PEAK U3 chargers make this process incredibly simple. Simply connect both the AS150U charging cables to the included XT90 adapter and Molex balance cables to the included breakout board, and then connect each battery to the charger. To charge select “Charge” mode by using the lower button, and hold the right button to “Start”. For storing batteries, select “Storage” mode by using the lower button, and hold the right button to “Start”.

The H8E platform is made to accommodate two separate battery configurations dependent on the power format being used. For standard H8E Octocopters, the recessed bay on top of the frame allows for 12S battery packs to be quickly swapped in the field. The H8E Tether uses two 6S batteries mounted underneath the canopy to provide power to a conversion system for startup, and act as a backup in the event of converter failure.
H8E Octocopter:

Verify battery voltage and cell health using the included Capacity Controller. No cell should be ±200mV (0.2V) from another.

H6 EFI utilizes 6S MaxAmp Batteries
Inspect the 6S MaxAmp backup batteries mounted underneath the frame. Use the Capacity Controller to check cell health, ensuring no cell is ±200mV (0.2V) from another.

When switching from EFI to electric, ensure a specific battery is designated for the build and avoid using 12S batteries on the H6HL platform.
H6 Hydrone utilizes 6S MaxAmp Batteries
Similar to the H6 EFI, inspect and maintain using the same procedures.
Inspect the 6S MaxAmp backup batteries mounted underneath the frame. Use the Capacity Controller to check cell health, ensuring no cell is ±200mV (0.2V) from another.
Follow the same charging and storage procedures as the H6 EFI.
Secure both batteries to the saddles with velcro straps. Charge using the U3-EV-PEAK charger, connecting both the battery and balance leads. Select either “Charge” or “Storage” mode.
Do not mix battery types while charging or in use.
Always perform a full storage charge if the drone will not be used for an extended period to keep the batteries healthy.
H6HL utilizes 6S1P 30,000mAh LiPO Batteries
•Type: Tattu 30,000mAh 6S1P LiPo batteries.
•Voltage Range: Operates between 43.75V (failsafe voltage) and 49.5V (maximum fully charged voltage).
•Configuration: Up to eight batteries mounted across the frame, providing redundancy for long flights.
Ensure battery cells are balanced during every charge cycle to maintain performance.
Reference Voltage:
150 Hours: Replace the 6S1P 30,000mAh LiPO Batteries. Check cell health and voltage, ensuring no deviations beyond ±200mV. Inspect for swelling or damage.
300 Hours: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and potential replacement of the hybrid battery system and EFI generators. Ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
Compliance with recommended maintenance schedules is essential to maintain the warranty. Any damage resulting from improper maintenance, unauthorized repairs, or the use of non-approved components will void the warranty.
Ensure all components are plugged in before turning on the drone. This includes securing the batteries, connecting the fuel or hydrogen tank, and ensuring all antennas and peripherals are properly attached.
Verify that the takeoff area is clear of debris and obstacles. Perform a comprehensive pre-flight checklist to ensure all systems are operational.
Turn on the Ground Control Station (GCS) and verify connectivity with the drone. Check the battery voltages, GPS signal, and that all flight modes are properly set.
Follow the specific start-up procedures for the generator or fuel cell as outlined in the manual .
Each aircraft configuration includes a custom-built case for safe storage and transportation to and from your next mission. Storing your aircraft will require specific pre-storage procedures to ensure it is secured properly.
Important: Peripherals such as gimbal cameras, sensors, and LiDARs should be removed prior to storing your aircraft, and placed in a dedicated case for transportation.
H6 Electric:
Transport cases for the Harris H6 electric come with foam inserts custom molded to house and protect the airframe from movement during transport. Follow the listed instructions to properly store your aircraft:
1. Close all propellers and place protective socks over each.
2. Fold each boom inward while simultaneously directing the propellers for motors 5, 6, 4, and 3 into the center of the airframe, and the propellers for motors 1 and 2 outward as shown in the diagram. Lower the GPS masts.
3. Remove all antennas from the booms, frame, and legs.
Lift the aircraft, and fold each leg inward.
4. Place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear parallel to the lid.
5. Place the foam cover over the aircraft and lightly press until seated.
H6 EFI & Hydrone:
Transport cases for the Harris H6 EFI and Hydrone allow users to leave their generator or fuel cell attached between missions. Use steps 1 and 2 for the H6 electric to prepare the aircraft for storage, and then simply place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear perpendicular to the lid. Eyelets are provided on all four sides so the aircraft can be securely strapped in place. When securing the aircraft, avoid placing straps over any wiring to prevent damage.
Transport cases for the Harris H6HL come with foam inserts custom molded to house and protect the airframe from movement during transport. Follow the listed instructions to properly store your aircraft:

Use steps 1 and 2 for the H6HL above to prepare the aircraft for storage, and then simply place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear perpendicular to the lid. Eyelets are provided on all four sides so the aircraft can be securely strapped in place. When securing the aircraft, avoid placing straps over any wiring to prevent damage.
